GPSS Coaching

GPSS (God, People, System, Self) Leadership Coaching provides leaders with faith and values based support as they address their specific, present-moment challenges of appointment or employment. Coaching will be provided by experienced clergy or counselors who have been trained and certified through the partnership between Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and Samaritan Interfaith Counceling Center.  GPSS Leadership Coaches utilize an action driven, results oriented and solution focused approach to guide individuals and groups to maximize their impact through exploring and expanding vision, unlocking potential and reaching desired goals with increased confidence, competency and commitment.

While GPSS Leadership Coaching is offered to all who seek to maximize their leadership impact, a discounted rate is available to Garrett-Evangelical alumni/ae.

The GPSS Coaching Process

GPSS Leadership Coaches are independent professionals who have completed GPSS training and certification. For referral, contact the Program Director, James Haun at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You will receive a list of participating coaches with brief biographical/professional and contact information. After choosing and contacting a coach, you will receive information on methodology and fees in the initial conversation. Fees and payment arrangements are determined by each coach. Other than establishing a discounted rate for Garrett-Evangelical alumni/ae, Garrett-Evangelical and Samaritan Interfaith Counceling Center assume no financial responsibility or obligation for coaching services provided through the program.

Coaching is not therapy. Although there are no guarantees to the outcomes, most people do receive benefits from a coaching relationship. GPSS Leadership Coaches are not employees or agents of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary or Samaritan Interfaith Counceling Center, but are independent contractors who have substantial discretion with regard to methods and means of providing these services.
